GoGatherNow helps people discover nearby activities, create plans, and coordinate squads. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your sign-in identity, profile name, username, and avatar.
- Activity and squad content you create, join, request to join, or interact with.
- Messages and membership information for squads you participate in.
- Location information you choose to provide for discovering or creating activities.
- Media you upload, such as profile, activity, squad, or venue images.
- Device and app information needed for authentication, push notifications, security, and reliability.
How We Use Information
- To provide app features, including discovery, squads, activity details, chat, and account management.
- To show relevant nearby activities when you use location-based features.
- To deliver notifications you enable.
- To protect the app, prevent misuse, investigate reports, and maintain service reliability.
- To respond to support requests and account deletion requests.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Some information is visible to other users as part of the app experience, such as public profile details, activity participation, squad membership, messages within squads, and content you choose to publish.
Service Providers
We use service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for backend, authentication, database, and storage services; Firebase for push messaging; and Google services for Android platform features and optional map/place functionality. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Location
Location features are used to discover and create nearby activities. You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some activity locations are visible to other users when they are part of activity details.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and support account deletion workflows. Some content may remain if required for safety, audit, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Your Choices
- You can update profile information in the app.
- You can control permissions such as location and notifications in device settings.
- You can request account deletion from the app or through the instructions on our account deletion page.
Children
GoGatherNow is not intended for children under 13 and is not designed as a family-directed app.
